She advised that the year book I had agreed to support and advertise in had been published and was due out in four weeks. I would have to pay £99 + VAT. I explained that I had not agreed to any book or advertising and she said that it was the owner and probably not me. I advised that I am the owner and no one else works within the business. I asked for proof of the agreement which she replied that it was simply over the phone. I said that I would not be taking part and she stated that the book was already published and she would have to look into this for me. Then she hung up. So glad the site was helpful. These people just phone up on spec. and hope someone will agree to their demand. Even if the book is ever published how much money goes to the good cause? When I say he's not available and ask for a number to return her call, she gets very aggressive and generally slams the phone down. My husband actually got to speak to her one day last week,as she tried to tell him that he had agreed to advertise in a magazine with them, and we now owed them £145.00 to which my husband flatly refused, and told her that he'd agreed to no such thing and if so, then where was the proof and the signed agreement? Five minutes later her alledged boss rang and spoke to my husband, saying pretty much the same thing, to which he got the same reply, and was also told that under no circumstances do we do business with rude, aggressive and arrogant people who have no proof whatsoever of any of these conversations and agreements ever taking place, and to my amazement, the arrogant Alla has rang back and hung up on me again today! Beware, what kind of Crime Prevention Teams rings up on a witheld number, and won't give you a number or email address to contact them back on!? I asked who authorised it and he said Mr Boon. He said they worked on behalf of police force, Crime prevention and mag goes to scools, doctors surgeries, etc and that for a double reduced fee of £199 +vet we can ahve an eighth of a page. 200 extra pages being input to this final magazine.I asked for a contact with police or crime prevention tema to verify - he told me that was not a sensible question and that I was starting to irritate him! His office number is 07769278085 - which he didnt know but had to find!! When you ring this number the person answering doesnt know anything about any of ths supposedly! What a sales technique!!
